St. George’s Episcopal Church will be hosting a new exhibit in its halls. Beginning Sunday March 24, Artists’ Link, an artist collective aimed at benefitting the community, will hang their work in St. George’s halls. Artists such as Mike Moffitt, Kay Coop, Becky Ross, and others will showcase their wide ranging talents spanning watercolors to oil painting to photography.
Martha Cook, a member of Artists’ Link, offered the following as an explanation of the group’s endeavors.
“Artists’ Link is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization founded in 1989, for and by visual artists. Current membership, now over 110 members strong, encompasses artists throughout the metropolitan area. The mission of Artists’ Link is to be a resource and support for artists by providing fellowship, sharing art information, and enabling members to link to the community at large. Artists’ Link’s service continues to be to give back to the community by supporting worthy educational causes. Exhibitions are a vital part of Artists’ Link’s purpose and goals. These shows introduce member artists and their work to new and loyal communities of art-lovers.”
The show will run from March 24 to April 21. St. George’s art gallery is open Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
