Wherever you find yourself on your journey of spiritual discovery this summer, make plans now to join us overnight in the peaceful woods of St. Columba at our annual 11th Step Retreat. This year the retreat will head into cyberspace where we try to disconnect, by connecting together.
Our program this year will feature video and audio podcasts from nationally recognized recovery teachers, spiritual writers and thought leaders, where we will dive into some small and large group breakout sessions and exercises around the ideas presented by some amazing people. Folks like Brene’ Brown on vulnerability, Richard Rohr on spiritual discovery, Nadia Bolz Weber on forgiveness, Thich Nhat Hanh on the beauty of the present moment, Tara Brach on more ways to be vulnerable, Brian Pirsor on codependency and others along the way. We hope to create some space where our devices can teach about connection vs. drawing us away from connection to a higher source.
The retreat begins at 4 p.m. on Friday and ends about 5 p.m. on Saturday with a closing recovery Eucharist. Dinner Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday are included in the cost. There will be guided meditation, an open 12 step meeting at the fire pit, free time for exploring the vast grounds, s’mores, a time for fellowship and much more.
Overnight space is limited so be sure to reserve your space as soon as possible. Registration Fee: $135 for double occupancy or $175 for single occupancy. Cost includes retreat registration, overnight lodging and all meals.
